Digital Transformation Support

Since 1992, we have been shaping the digital world of companies and organisations of all sizes and sectors. Locally, nationally, and globally. We are far more than just consultants, creators of ideas and impulses, or pure implementers. We see ourselves as pioneers and companions in digitalisation. We advise on digital transformation and build brands in all channels, for key touchpoints, different devices, and international markets. This results in exciting projects with varied and interdisciplinary positions.

At our locations in Munich, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne or on-site at the client's premises, we work on the digital core of renowned companies: Audi, Austrian Airlines, Bayern Tourismus, BMW, BRITA, BSH Hausgeräte, Deutsche Bahn, Linde, MAN, McDonald's, National Geographic Deutschland, Voith, WMF and Zeppelin.

Senior User Experience Designer (all genders): The drivers of creative innovation in the digital agency

As a Senior User Experience Designer (all genders) at Ray Sono, you will join a team of more than 30 experience design experts with different expertise in UX, visual, motion and content design. You will develop innovative digital products and solutions with a clear focus on the user. You daily work is guaranteed to be varied with participation in pitches and the conception and moderation of workshops included. Plus you’ll be a sparring partner for your junior and intermediate colleagues, helping them to grow and develop.

In your role as Senior User Experience Designer (all genders) …

... you drive innovation, product development and transformation processes and develop solutions that are in line with clients’ product and brand strategy.

... you advise customers with user-oriented solutions tailored to technical circumstances, organise workshops and design sprints.

... you will analyse customer and user requirements using service design methods such as journey mapping, service blueprints and design sprints.

... you create and develop customer journeys, product strategies, opportunity and experience maps and present your concepts convincingly to executives and major brands.

... you build user-friendly scribbles, wireframes and functional prototypes that take into account target group, CI guidelines and usability.

... you support your team members and will act as a mentor for their professional development.

... you will be part of new customers acquisition and support in our business expansion. This includes creating presentations and pitches and conducting sales talks.

To give you a better idea of our daily work, here are some typical questions:

  • How can we use available data and insights to get a clear picture of users’ future needs and expectations?
  • A new project is coming where we need a UX designer who can quickly get to grips with the new topic. What do you do?
  • For a new project, we need to do a scoping workshop. What basic questions need to be clarified to be able to estimate the exact scope of the project and create a rough, initial project structure?
  • This week you are planned for several smaller tasks with different clients. What criteria do you use to prioritise them and how do you structure your week?
  • How can you develop a convincing digital concept, taking into account the needs of the users, while still supporting the goals of the company? What information do you need to get started?

What you bring to the table:

We are a diverse team with different expertise – and we believe you can be a valuable team member regardless of a specific degree or industry experience.

Whether you have a PhD and want “real life” work, you’ve been dreaming of working in the agency world for a long time, or you are a start-up founder who needs a little more variety in your everyday work – tell us why we should get to know you and what you are particularly interested in when it comes to working at Ray Sono.

You’ll fit right in when you …

... have extensive experience in the field of user experience design and are interested in supporting our clients in their digital transformation processes.

... have knowledge of UX methods such as user research, journey mapping and prototyping and have successfully applied these in practice to develop user-centred solutions.

... have experience in dealing with stakeholders, understand customer contact, and can build customer relationships.

... are communicative and a team player, and enjoy moderating and leading workshops

... like to act as a mentor to other and support team members in their professional development

... have experience in an agile work environment and are familiar with the Scrum process

... have a good command of written and spoken German and English.

What you can expect from us:

Meaningful projects: We don’t just communicate and make PowerPoint slide decks. We develop and support our clients in the long term – in exciting industries and technologies. We work with end users and management. We don’t just make recommendations; we also build and develop. We experience the effects of our work – and use this knowledge to improve.

Your ideal workplace: Remotely from your home office, in one of our beautiful city centre hubs in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main or Munich – or a mixture of both? Crucial: Where can you work most easily and efficiently with your team and your clients? Whether you prefer a Mac or PC, we provide you with the optimal equipment.

Consultancy and travel: In our projects, we have a say as to when on-site appointments make sense – and when they do not. This lets us reduce travel as well as act sustainably.

Work-life balance: We offer fair overtime compensation from the first minute on, flexible working hours and sabbaticals.

Family-friendly: We have many parents in our teams – working both full- & part-time. In Munich, we even have some reserved childcare spots at a partner nursery school.

Mobility: Do you have a customer appointment that’s inconvenient to reach with public transportation? Then grab one of our hybrid company automobiles from the vehicle pool.

Communication – inside and outside of our teams: We keep in touch and stick together. Online and offline. We provide good project onboarding – together we find out where and how you can have the best impact. Various team and Ray Sono formats provide support and create space for internal communication.

Continuing education & career paths: You participate in our numerous internal "Ray Academy" formats and create a personal development plan with your manager – including external coaching or customised training measures. Regardless of whether your long-term goal is personnel responsibility, professional leadership, or something else entirely, we support you along your journey.

Become part of our culture: Whether you are the top scorer in the "RasenMayors” Football Club, have the best skateboard or inline skating choreography in the “RollingRays” or are a new singing talent in “RayC/DC”, our own band, you’ll definitely find like-minded people. You can also get involved in one of our pro bono projects (“Ray Helps”) and assist the Tabaluga Children's Foundation, for example.
